With the initiative of the ARCL Regional Executive (REB), Thursday July 9 and Friday July 10, 2015 starting at 9:30 in the morning the Bourj Hammoud Municipality Stadium hosted once again a Relief Distribution to 500 Syrian Armenian refugee families in Lebanon.
The Aid was provided by the Shaghouri Family who was aspiring to honor the memory of their late son. Their wish was that each family that received this aid would pray for their son’s spiritual peace and rest.
Under the direction of the Great House of Cilicia and through Mr. Alexis Mkarzel, the representative of Mr. Shaghuri, the Aid was place at the disposal of the ARCL. The plan aimed at supporting the Syrian Christians taking refuge in Lebanon.
Alongside the many programs organized by the ARCL for the Syrian-Armenian refugees in Lebanon from seminars, lectures, courses, and so on, this was the second Relief Distribution organized by the ARCL and in which the Armenian Parliamentary Bloc members brought their input as well.
The list of beneficiaries was prepared based on the list of names proposed by the assembly of the inter-humanitarian institutions of the Armenian community.
The ARCL thanks and expresses deep gratitude to the Shaghouri family wishing that their son’s memory remains eternal and that his soul becomes worthy of the kingdom of heaven.
